Me Time for Workout

Have a workout routine!

Even in a busy household...

When I started my daily workouts, first I had to fight the guilty feeling of taking time for myself, instead of playing with my Daughter, or cooking some nice meals... I think you know what I mean 😅 It took time to realize that if I am happy and healthy, everything goes smoother for the whole family.

It is important to find some time and activities that can recharge your batteries! You have worked hard all day and you deserve some time to yourself. If you don't take care of yourself, how can you take care of others? Take a walk around the neighborhood with your kids or read them a story before bedtime. Go for a run or start working out at home so that you can be healthy and feel good about yourself.🏃

Set clear goals and expectations.

Setting clear goals is an important part of any organization, whether it's a business or your personal life. Having a concrete goal can help you focus on the tasks that need to be done and identify the things that are getting in the way.

So let's set some goals focusing on your own well-being! What sports do you like? Prefer running in the morning with your dog, while everything is quiet? Or fitness classes give you the best refreshment after a long day? The world of sports is huge, so you can choose something that suits your taste. But if you have never been in a fitness class, it's not easy to go there right away and participate. So start with something simple: walk around the neighborhood or run on a treadmill at home.

You will see how easily this habit becomes part of your life!😊

Set some clear goals for yourself (like going on a 30 minutes walk every morning), and keep tracking it! You will see how much you have achieved after a month. And, as a bonus, your body and mind will be more active.

For me - interestingly, as I am absolutely not a morning person 😅 - what works is to wake up 15 minutes earlier and do some gymnastics while my Daughter is still sleeping. I am doing it for like 1,5 years now, and I really feel the difference! It is just 15 minutes, you would say that it will not change anything. But it definitely does! First, I wake up fully before doing all the morning chores, and this way I become a lot more patient with my Daughter, and we also have time to eat our breakfast together!😊 I have a lot more energy, and it feels soooo good that even before the day really started I already "achieved" something, and have one more green checkmark in the calendar I am using for tracking my workouts!😊

Keep in mind that there's no right way to set goals. Your goals can be big or small, long-term or short-term, and they don't have to be connected to each other; it's all about your own needs. Start with something easy - like running one mile more than you did last week - and work your way up from there.

Get into a workout routine with the whole family. A little friendly competition can get you all to your fitness goals faster than you think.

Getting fit with your family is a great way to stay active and healthy. It can help you set goals together, and it can be fun while you're doing it!👪 Whether you're into running or cycling, there are plenty of ways to get active as a family. Whether you want to become better swimmers or learn some new tricks for biking, there are lots of activities out there that will work for everyone in the family.

In addition to getting fit as a group, working out together is also a great way to bond with your loved ones. Get ready for an afternoon on the beach? Why not do some yoga poses together before heading down? Getting active as a group will help you learn more about each other, and it can also be a great way to spend time together.

Keep track of your workouts and celebrate milestones!

  • Record your workouts. You can use a paper calendar, an app, or a spreadsheet. The important thing is that you are keeping track of what you're doing and when.✍

  • Think about setting goals for yourself - and celebrating when you reach them! If your goal is to run a marathon within the next year, for example, use this week to start training for it. You can make small changes like increasing your running distance by 1 mile each week or set larger ones like losing 20 pounds over the course of two months.

When it comes time to reward yourself for reaching these milestones (or just living up to your goals), don't forget not just how rewarding it feels but also how much work went into achieving them!🏅

Keep your fridge and pantry stocked with healthy things. Put them front and center so they are easy to grab and go.

Your fridge and pantry should be stocked with foods that are easy to grab and eat for a quick pick-me-up. You should have plenty of fruits, vegetables, and water in your fridge at all times so you can reach for them when you're on the go.🍎🍏🍎 If you want to add some pizzazz to your snack lineup, consider keeping a few healthy alternatives like hummus or peanut butter available as well.

It's also important to keep unhealthy snacks out of sight so they don't tempt you every time you open the fridge door. If your kids are old enough (or responsible enough), give them access to the kitchen so they can help themselves when they get hungry - just make sure they know what's off-limits!

The same goes for your pantry. Keep healthy snacks such as nuts, fruit, and vegetables on hand to help curb cravings for junk food. You can also make sure you have plenty of healthy foods in the house by planning meals with these ingredients in mind.

Be good to yourself! You don't want to forget to take care of yourself as well as everyone else. Give yourself a break when you need it!

You can't be the best version of yourself if you don't take care of yourself. There are so many demands on our time, and it's important to make sure that we are allocating our resources where they are needed most.

I gave you a few hints on this blog on how to get your home in order - and there's no reason why you can't apply those techniques when it comes to fitness goals! Have fun with it and remind yourself of the importance this holds for everyone involved when things get stressful or overwhelming.

When the whole family works together, anything is possible - including a house that stays clean, food that stays fresh, and everyone who stays fit!

You are your child’s first teacher. Your child will learn from you how to be organized by watching you do things in an orderly manner. Your child will also learn how he or she should behave when they see their parents doing those things. So if you want to raise kids with healthy eating habits and good manners, make sure to start by modeling these behaviors yourself!

Conclusion

It is important to find some time for yourself, during which you can recharge your batteries and give yourself a break from the daily grind. If you don't take care of yourself, how could you take care of others?

  1. I totally agree with having a ME time. I usually have this time at 5-6 in the morning, I wasn't really a morning person before-but sacrificing in order to have that alone time with myself really worked wonders for my life.

Plan Your Family Budget

Family budget planning: No matter if you are managing a huge household with a big budget or a smaller one with moderate income and spending, some kind of budgetary planning and organization is definitely needed. Halloween Party on a Budget

Halloween  is a great holiday to celebrate with your kids, and it's amazing how much fun you can have without breaking the bank. Halloween, Día de los Muertos and All Saints Day are celebrated in different ways in countries with different cultural backgrounds - eg. in some places families go to cemeteries to visit the tomb of their relatives, and light there candles. Cemeteries look amazing on those nights with the beautiful little lights 😊 So even if Halloween is different where you are coming from, getting some decorations and organizing a "party" for the kids around those days can still be fun 🥳 Here are some ways you can celebrate Halloween on a budget! Get decorations. Halloween decorations can be found at dollar stores or even on Etsy . They are usually cheap, and you can choose to buy more designs, depending on how much money you want to spend . You can also make your own decorations if you have some more time and energy. We love crafting , and My Daughter is p
